Yahsat provides multipurpose satellite solutions (government and commercial) for broadband, broadcast, military and communications use across the Middle East, Africa, Central and South West Asia. Yahsat wanted streamline the installations of satellite dishes in remote locations such as deserts and jungles.
We developed an Augmented Reality satellite finder application that enabled the satellite installation team to intuitively locate the satellite position in less than one minute. We created a backend system that allowed Yahsat team to create reseller accounts and allow them to manage user teams involved in the dish installations. The mobile application also had an offline QR code reader that allowed the team to scan the unique dish code and also capture it's geographic location with a picture. The entire application worked offline and synced automatically when internet access was available.
